The Anna Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation. The Anna Foundation is also a registered Public Benefit Organisation according to Section 18A of the Income Tax Act. We are a Level One Contributer and have 100% B-BBEE procurement recognition.

TAX BENEFITS FOR SOUTH AFRICAN DONORS: All donations including goods in kind, are tax deductible in the hands of the donor (tax exempt). Please request this Section 18A donation receipt for tax purposes when making a donation.

BEE POINTS FOR CORPORATE DONORS: Did you know that for all donations including donations in kind, we can provide you with our B-BBEE certificate, organisation profile and beneficiary declaration (100% per definition black beneficiaries), which will automatically earn you  ‘socio-economic' points towards your scorecard?  By donating to the Anna Foundation you could earn the last few points you require to bring you up to a Level 1 or 2 BEE company.

By contributing 1% of your salary each month (or whatever amount you can afford), you will automatically be invited to attend exciting social events which are held for club members every few months. These events serve as a chance to have fun and meet like-minded people.  All member's contributions are pooled together and go towards helping the Anna Foundation children get the education they need. Every contribution is tax deductible and you also receive monthly feedback as to where your money has been used.

Take a look at the 1%Club infographic here or go to their website to find out more about the exciting events that take place.

For a working person, being a support runner is a great way to join in. At each month‘s fun run we need support runners who encourage the younger children (grades R to 2) to run the 5km route. So, if you don’t know what to do with your Saturday mornings, why not add your name to our support runner mailing list and you’ll be notified of each month’s fun run details. You do not have to commit to coming to every month’s run and you don't have to be ultra fit but if you are active it helps. Most rewarding are the smiles on completion of the 5kms and the sense of achievement which can be clearly seen on the faces of the little ones.

We do not allow volunteers on a short term basis as we need to ensure that the children are not exposed to people coming and going at different times.  It is also important that the children follow routine. Volunteers who want to become involved on the farms are required to make a longer term commitment (minimum of one school term or 3 months) and to commit to being at the project every week on a specific day.
Should you wish to give of your time and assist the children as a remedial or sports volunteer, please fill in the Volunteer Form and email back to info[at]annafoundation[dot]com (you can also request the form to be emailed as a Word document) Volunteers Form

Ideal for individuals and groups. Fridays are flexible days on the farms where individuals or groups of volunteers can have the opportunity to run a project for an afternoon (perfect for companies to become involved). In order to ensure that the children will have a well-thought out, smooth flowing and enjoyable day, volunteers first need to plan what they would like to do with the children for the 2 hours which our staff then approves to ensure feasibility of the idea. So, if you would like to show the children how to paint their own cushion covers followed by an exciting treasure hunt combined with an obstacle course and fun games [VIDEO Link] (for example), please get in touch with us.  We'd love to hear your ideas!

There are various fundraising platforms where you can get your friends, family and colleagues to sponsor you.  Create your own profile, set your fundraising target, and tell the world!  If you don't know much about reputable fundraising sites such as GivenGain, JustGiving and BackaBuddy, email Carolyn and she will help you through it.  It's really easy!
Need some fundraising ideas? The possibilities are endless:
  • Run, ride or swim (or whatever you're good at!), create your own fundraising a profile on GivenGain to help raise funds towards our 3 R's Programme... Cape Argus Momentum Cycle Tour, the Gun Run, Absa Cape Epic, Midmar Mile, Two Oceans Marathon... there are so many events happening all year round!
  • Instead of receiving Birthday gifts, why not ask your friends to sponsor you and support your fundraising campaign?
  • Choose the Dare: Get your friends, family and colleagues to pay R20 a vote to decide which form of “dare” you should undertake on a certain day (eg. dye your hair; wear all your clothes inside out for a day; men, wear high heals to work for a day - something fun but tasteful!).
  • Run your own car wash at a major traffic intersection.  The more money you raise, the more cars you have to wash in order to raise "bail"
  • Go hairless: Commit to shaving your head (or beard... or legs!) if a specified amount is raised by a deadline
YOUR fundraising is OUR fundraising and we will help you wherever we can.
Need some help in getting the word out about your fundraising goals?  We'll gladly include an insert in our monthly newsletter and support you through social media.
