Big thanks to Kanonkop for organising a fun but informative safety demonstration from the local police and fire departments for children living on the farm. The event took place at the Anna Foundation after school centre located on the wine estate at the end of October 2020.
Kanonkop learners were made aware of the many dangers (some obvious, others not) that surround us in our local environments, including dams, fire hazards etc. They were also given sound guidance on how to keep themselves and others safe at home. It was inspiring for learners to meet men and women ‘in the field’ and to be up, close and personal with the fire engine (and spray hose)!
