Tax Benefits for South African Donors:

The Anna Foundation is a non-profit charity organisation and a registered Public Benefit Organisation according to Section 18A of the Income Tax Act. This means that all financial donations, including goods in kind, are tax exempt for South African donors. We can issue you with a Section 18A donation receipt which you can use for tax purposes, when you make a donation.

B-BEEE Points for Corporate Donors:

All donations, including goods-in-kind, are tax deductible and will
ensure valuable B-BBEE scorecard points.
We are a Level 1 B-BBEE Contributor as a Micro Enterprise Specialised Entity with 100% per definition black beneficiaries with a 135% B-BBEE procurement recognition. We issue a Section 18A donation receipt.

By contributing 1% of your salary each month (or whatever amount you can afford), you will automatically be invited to attend exciting social events which are held for club members every few months. These events serve as a chance to have fun and meet like-minded people. The 1% Club members’ contributions are pooled together and go towards helping the Anna Foundation children receive a quality education and filling other monthly needs which arise. Every contribution is tax deductible and you also receive feedback as to where your money has made a difference.

We take the Anna Foundation children to a number of fun run events throughout the year and we welcome support runners to join us! If you’re a fast runner, you can challenge our fast runners to improve their time. If you’re more of a runner-walker, you’re just the person we need to stick with our younger runners and encourage them along the 5km route. You don’t have to be ultra-fit but if you are active it helps!

Should you wish to be notified of our upcoming running events, email

Most fun runs fall on a weekend or on public holidays.

If you would like to volunteer at one of our after-school projects and assist with the education or sports aspect of our 3 R’s Programme, you need to first ask yourself the following:

  • Am I available between 15h00 and 17h00, one day a week (Monday to Thursday)?
  • Can I commit to being at a project at the same time and same venue every week for at least three months (or one school term)?

If you answered ‘yes’ to both of the above questions, please complete the VOLUNTEER FORM and email back to

As children require routine, we cannot allow volunteers on a short-term basis as we need to ensure that the children are not exposed to people coming and going at different times. Volunteers need to commit to being at a project every week on a specific day for at least one hour (preferably two).

Ideal for individuals and groups. You can run a project for an afternoon (perfect for companies to become involved). In order to ensure that the children will have a well-thought out, smooth flowing and enjoyable afternoon, volunteers first need to plan a two hour, fun programme, demonstrating what they would like to do with the children. Once the plan has been ‘okayed’ by us, you’re good to go! So, if you would like to show the children how to paint their own cushion covers followed by an exciting treasure hunt combined with an obstacle course and fun games (for example), please get in touch with us. We’d love to hear your ideas!
