What an incredible experience! The Absa Cape Epic 2024 brought together cyclists from all over the world to take on one of the most challenging mountain bike races on the planet, and we were there every step of the way. From the race villages to the trails, our presence was felt as we cheered on our riders and showcased the amazing work we do with rural children in the Western Cape.
Activating at the Race Villages
The atmosphere at each race village was electric, and we were thrilled to be a part of it once again. The Anna Foundation activated at all the race villages, where our staff and volunteers were on hand to support the riders and engage with the community. It was a special treat to have some of our learners visit the villages, giving them the chance to witness the Cape Epic up close and experience the excitement of this world-renowned event.
The Cape Epic is not just a race, but it’s a celebration of resilience, perseverance and community. Seeing our learners’ eyes light up as they watched the riders conquer the challenging terrain reminded us of the importance of striving for greatness, both on and off the bike.
