Ask any child at one of our after-schools what they enjoy most, and chances are they will say Righting. This is where art, drama, and creative play come together to teach lessons you will not always find in a textbook.

Life skills such as communication, resilience, and teamwork are among the top skills young people say they need for their future. Research in South Africa shows that when children practise these skills through activities like drama and play, they are better able to manage emotions, solve conflicts, and build self-confidence. Yet in many rural schools, life skills are often overlooked or limited by a lack of resources.
By weaving them into playful, interactive sessions, the Anna Foundation ensures children not only learn these skills but practise them in ways that feel natural and fun. By bringing in the right-ing component, we create a safe and creative space for children to grow, experiment, and discover their strengths.

Our approach makes us different. While many programmes focus only on academics or sport, we focus on holistic development of the children by combining Reading, Running, and Righting to give children a well-rounded foundation.
At the Anna Foundation, we believe that real magic happens when a child feels seen, heard, and has a space to be themselves. When they learn to read, to run, and to grow in confidence, they are not just preparing for the classroom but for life. That is what Righting is all about.
