From 1-10 November, the Anna Foundation proudly activated at the FNB Wines2Whales. We were thrilled to have six dedicated teams ride on our behalf, with two teams participating in the Chardonnay event, one team in the Pinotage event and three teams in the Shiraz event. Each team’s effort and dedication highlighted the power of community and the difference that we can make together.

Learners Join the Action at Oak Valley

A memorable highlight of Wines2Whales was the opportunity for our learners from Oak Valley, Monteith and Dennegeur to join us at the Oak Valley race village. They got to experience the excitement of the event first-hand, cheering on the cyclists and immersing themselves in the energy of the race. The fun didn’t stop there as they enjoyed face painting and indulged in delicious treats thanks to the generosity of Food Lovers Market, Fair Cape Dairies and Gap Infrastructure Corporation (GIC). These special moments made it a day of joy and excitement that our learners won’t soon forget.

A Successful Event for a Great Cause

Wines2Whales was not only a fantastic sporting event but also a significant milestone for raising awareness about our mission. Through the hard work and support of our riders and the generosity of the community, we received valuable donations that will directly impact our projects!

A big thank you to our riders, sponsors and everyone who contributed to making this year’s FNB Wines2Whales event a success. We’d also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to FNB, who generously donated W2W gift bags to the Anna Foundation, containing headlamps and sweat towels. We are grateful for each pedal pushed, every donation made, and all the goodwill shared, as it brings us closer to our vision of building brighter futures for our learners.
