The annual Nuy Valley Feast took place at the beautiful Leipzig Country House. The list of activities ranged from a MTB, fun walk and vineyards trail run, wine tasting, olive oil tastings, vineyards trails, tractor and wagon rides, fun activities for children and live music. 56 of our Anna Foundation learners from Leipzig, Memel, Nuwerus and Rouxbyn braved the cold to participate in the 5km Fun Run. The front of the crowd was a sea of yellow heads bobbing up and down as the learners jumped around to keep warm. Some of our first time runners ran like it was a 100m sprint, while our more experienced runners know that it is important to pace yourself… Each learner received a medal and an ice cold coke at the finish line. Seeing the feeling of accomplishment on a child’s face is a wonderful thing. Seeing it on 56 beaming little faces? Priceless.
