On the 23rd of April this year, the VWS Race forWater was hosted at Elsenburg farm. Our learners from Simonsig farm and Buffet Olives farm participated in the 6km race, which followed farm tracks on the slopes of Klapmutskop. Despite the fact that staying active is very important for our overall health and wellbeing, this event had an added benefit: all of the proceeds went towards the VWS, an entirely volunteer-run, non-profit organisation dedicated to the protection of biodiversity...

Saturday, 11 February 2017 marked 27 years since Nelson Mandela was released, after spending 27 years in the Victor Verster Prison in Paarl. Well before sunrise on 16 October, 200 children and facilitators in Montagu, Ashton, Robertson and Worcester, clambered onto buses for the 2 hour (-plus!) trip to Cape Town, ready to run. We are extremely proud of our boys and girls from Buffet Olives farm who rode in the Buffet Olives MTB Classic on 23 October. All of our children did incredibly well and Curtley (photo, left) finished 3rd overall in the Mens’ 14km mountain bike event!
