“It is in your hands to make of our world, a better one for all” – Nelson Mandela

Nelson Mandela International Day was launched on 18 July 2009 by the UN General Assembly to recognise the birthday of our inspirational former president, Nelson Mandela. Inspired by a call Mandela had made for the next generation to take on the burden of leadership in addressing the world’s social injustices, Mandela Day aims to bring people together from around the world to fight poverty, promote peace and reconciliation and cultural diversity.

As Nelson Mandela fought for social justice for 67 years, this Mandela Day, the Anna Foundation would be grateful for your support of either of our Covid-19 winter drives:

Donate R67 (or multiples thereof) towards our Covid-19 Vitamin Drive
We’re focusing on good nutrition, vitamins and exercise as part of our Covid-19 response. We’re committed to keeping Anna Foundation children fighting fit and healthy throughout the cold Cape winter months, supplementing our feeding programmes with a Covid multivitamin, that includes Vitamin C, Vitamin D and Zinc.
Donate now.

Donate 67 (or even 6 or 7) items of children’s clothing towards our Winter Clothing Drive
If your children’s closets are in need of a clear-out, please consider donating any warm clothing, shoes or bedding to the Anna Foundation so that we can distribute to the communities that need it the most. We’re happy to arrange collection – simply email us at info@annafoundation.com to arrange.

“When a man has done what he considers to be his duty to his people and his country, he can rest in peace. I believe I have made that effort and that is, therefore, why I will sleep for the eternity.” – Nelson Mandela
