Saturday, 11 February 2017 marked 27 years since Nelson Mandela was released, after spending 27 years in the Victor Verster Prison in Paarl. Almarie Canya

New Office Staff

Almarie Coetzee is our new Head of Education. She was previously at Boland College where she was an ECD assessor and facilitator (plenty of experience in training others!). She also has a background in remedial therapy and has specialised in teaching special needs children. Canya Cruywagen is Project Manager for our Boland projectsand oversees our sports programme. Reading (Education): The current worksheet theme is “My Body”. Facilitators are trained how to incorporate creative and exciting introductions to make lessons more effective and bring the theme to life. MTB Training with Ariane Kleinhans

Gun Run 2016!

Well before sunrise on 16 October, 200 children and facilitators in Montagu, Ashton, Robertson and Worcester, clambered onto buses for the 2 hour (-plus!) trip to Cape Town, ready to run. Podium Finishers

We are extremely proud of our boys and girls from Buffet Olives farm who rode in the Buffet Olives MTB Classic on 23 October. All of our children did incredibly well and Curtley (photo, left) finished 3rd overall in the Mens’ 14km mountain bike event! In the Mens’ 5km race, Linwill came 1st and Sturton, 3rd while in the Ladies’ event, Vanashly came 1st and Jadelyn finished in 2nd place. We are certainly seeing some talent in our youngsters!
