On 17 and 18 January, the Anna Foundation training team visited the Graham Beck Training Centre in Robertson and the Van der Stel Sports Centre in Stellenbosch respectively. Anna Foundation was at at the Stellenbosch Harvest Parade on the 27th January 2018. Cape minstrels, drum majorettes, merry farm workers, marching brass bands and the happy winemaking community on tractors participated in the parade. Mariska Goliath, who from a disadvantaged background in the Cape wine farming areas attended the Anna Foundation afterschool programme throughout her young school years. The Anna Foundation’s 3R’s sports programme provided her a base for her sporting ability. This past long weekend on Friday 16 June 2017, the Anna Foundation youth celebrated the Youth Day public holiday by participating in the Youth Day Trail run at Delvera presented by Sportsman’s Warehouse and Dirtopia. Two young ladies from the Anna Foundation’s after-school training programme at Simonsig achieved excellent results.
